"Leadership is one of those things that is hard to describe, but we know when we are in its presence. It is both an art and a science."
This quote came from the invitation letter sent to us MBA students as below:
Dear Students,
Every MBA student anticipates senior management positions in their future. Successful senior managers know that leadership and management are inextricably linked. Leadership is one of those things that is hard to describe, but we know when we are in its presence. It is both an art and a science. We are pleased to offer an opportunity for you to participate in an ‘up close and personal afternoon coffee with a CEO’ session on Sept 13th, 2010 at 3 pm in ___
The speaker will be Brian Segal, who is currently CEO of Rogers Publishing Ltd. He is also a former president of both Ryerson University and the University of Guelph. He is passionate about having current business leaders and CEOs share their experiences with students. To this end, he is the founder and Director of the Ted Rogers Leadership Centre at TRSM. Looking forward to the speech and the Q & A session.
This blog documents my MBA student life at Ryerson University, Canada (2010-2012). It was an attempt to demystify the MBA experience, help understand MBA topics & encourage MBA wannabes. I have a Pre-MBA blog about B-School application process (and a few other blogs) as well. I used to blog actively in the past and interact with readers regularly, but life got very busy after my MBA. Good luck. Take care. Cheers! Gerry.

Bay Street of downtown Toronto (Financial District) rocks!
I am working in the downtown Toronto area (Financial district) as Security Officer these days, close to the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.
At 6 AM, the cars of bank executives start entering parking (I do Access Control). The cars: Almost brand new (looking) Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Porsche, Jaguar, Acura, Infinity, Bentley, Land Rover... go by... zoom, zoom, zoom. So impressed! Bay St. rocks !!! I tell myself "Work hard, buddy. Someday, you shall drive one of these cars to work too :)"
I love Bay St. Love the energy, the opulence, the affluence, the richness, the quality of people walking on it. Everything is so encouraging. I wanna be part of that environment too. Hey wait, I already am, now! Our Business School, TRSM is right on Bay St. Yay for that!
