Convergence and Divergence in the MBA. The MBA journey is like a train journey that all classmates share. Before the journey, we came from different places. After the journey, we split again.

This is my post, 100% All thoughts are mine. Will build on this post with time.

CONVERGENCE
The students of the program arrive from all over the world, to do the MBA. We come with our different beliefs and backgrounds. We have our biases and our prejudices. We have our unique characteristics. We have different levels of wealth - be it social capital or financial wealth.

However, for a brief period of 1 to 2 years, we meet as one in the classroom. In the classroom, we are all the SAME - we are all equal. Anyone can answer a question, make a comment or make a presentation in the class. It is a level playing field.

DIVERGENCE
After the program, all of us split again. Some of us will become millionnaires. Some may go bankrupt, due to failed businesses. Some may win awards. Some may have divorces. Some will have children. Some may die alone. We have no clue what plans destiny has in store for all of us. I wish that we all do well.

We in summary, we converged from all over the world and we met in one place. After the program, we shall diverge. If compared to a train journey, we shared the journey for a brief period. It was good to get to know the people we did. And then, we bid farewell. Life has to go on. We have to bid farewell to our Alma Mater and return to our roots or our passions. We have to get back to where life takes us or where we want life to take us.

(More soon... Need to polish this blog a bit. I wish I had more time to blog. But I still have other work pending.)

Cheers!
Gerry .
