This blog documents my MBA student life at Ryerson University, Canada (2010-2012). It was an attempt to demystify the MBA experience, help understand MBA topics & encourage MBA wannabes. I have a Pre-MBA blog about B-School application process (and a few other blogs) as well. I used to blog actively in the past and interact with readers regularly, but life got very busy after my MBA. Good luck. Take care. Cheers! Gerry.

Just saw "Margin Call" (the movie). My reactions & interpretation:
Number crunching (Quantitative Analysis) may be a PITA (Pain In The Arse), but it is MITB (Money In The Bank). If you can crunch numbers, people will seek you.
Be decisive. Be quick to get in and quick to get out - timing is everything.
No one is indispensable in a company. No one.
Somebody's loss is someone's gain. Money shifts, doesn't "disappear".
Wish I could turn back time to the pre-recession era --> where a 23 year old risk analyst could make a quarter million $ a year. Wish I could go to THAT life!
