What is CBAP? What is IIBA? What is BABOK? (Hint: Pay attention to the B.A. part...) and why new MBAs should be aware of acronyms like these...

After your MBA, one of the things you will quickly realize is that only an MBA may not be enough to land you a job. Some companies expect you to be working towards further certifications like the following (even if you do not have one already) -- and I am talking of top-notch companies like PwC and E&Y, not mom and pop companies:
  • CA
  • CMC
  • CPA
  • CMA
  • PMP / CAPM
  • CPIM
  • CBAP and so on...
Don't trust me? Check out the post-MBA job market, LOL :)
  • CBAP: stands for Certified Business Analysis Professional.
  • IIBA: stands for International Institute of Business Analysis
  • BABOK: stands for Business Analysis Book Of Knowledge (the bible, LOL)
Useful links for you (Will provide you a summary later. Am busy today...)

More on this soon. And yes, you should be in love with Business Analysis to be successful... (My personal opinion only). What is Business Analysis? Duh! Click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_analysis

Cheers!
Gerry.
