David Letterman - Paul Ryan Top Ten: David Letterman helps win elections #Truth
David Letterman is an influencer of public opinion. And it is important to have such influencers on your side. I think that John McCain in the past, and Mitt Romney now, should have gone on Letterman and build good rapport with him.
In an indirect way, yes, late night talk show hosts affect election results. You see a lot of folks do not watch TV or read newspapers. They get their news or opinions from Late Night TV shows.
