Intentions + Tools

Good intentions with no tools - any good to society?
Good tools, but no good intentions - any good to society?
Good intentions + Good tools - can indeed help society.
MBA can provide one with the tools to succeed.

How can an MBA change the world?

You can fly too :)))))))

“Come to the edge", he said.

They said: "We are afraid".

"Come to the edge", he said.

They came.

He pushed them and they flew.”

Work vs Network

Success is not just about how much you WORK;
It is also about how much you NETWORK !

It is not just about WHAT you know,
It is also about WHO you know.

Professional English Stand Up comedy is coming of age in India.

India gained Independence from the British in 1947. However, the social culture of India has changed dramatically since the advent of internet and cheaper / more accessible forms of telecommunication.

Stand Up did exist in India in various forms, with artists like Johhny Lever & Raju Shrivastav. A lot of that included mimicry of older movie stars. But now, professional English stand up comedy is slowly making its way into the minds and hearts of Indians. English is widely spoken in India, thanks to the British influence. The educated Middle Class constantly seeks new ways to be entertained.

This is a good sign. An opportunity for new stand up comedians to laugh their way to the bank.

I have fantasized about doing Stand Up comedy too! It is in my bucket list !

A bucket list is a list of things you want to do before you "kick the bucket" / leave planet Earth. One of the things I want to do in my life is "Stand Up comedy". I have been motivated to do this for quite some time. I do try and include an element of humour in my class presentations and I have succeeded at times to make my class mates laugh during presentations.

Not in the ones that I have uploaded on You Tube - I tend to keep those professional and clean of any jokes or comedy :). Coz my videos are meant to help me get a decent job after the MBA. It is the informal class presentations that have my style of humour - silly, inane, topics. It is not just the content, but also the presentation, voice pitch, delivery and the timing that matter. So, I shall try to make a YouTube video sample of my version of a stand up and post it someday soon :). A 3 to 5 minute stand up comedy routine. Will attempt to do that within the next few months :)

IIT graduate Indian Stand Up comedian jokes about Facebook.

(IIT + IIM) COMBO is very common in India. And these are the best of the best brains of India.

In India, it is very common for brilliant students to start off education by pursuing B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) in the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) and after that, going to IIM (Indian Institute of Management) for further studies - an MBA.

They then go on to receive lucrative job offers and work for Multi national Corporations, either in India or abroad. A lot of them start their own businesses after a while.

Just wanted to put it put there. (IIT & IIM) this set is quite common in India and if you DO find such a person, rest assured, this person is BRILLIANT !

Indians, in general (at least the older generation), seemed to have different social skills compared to the West. However, the new generation is quite different and has a more global mindset.

Continuous refinement leads to excellence. Dedication is a must.

When you keep working at something on a continuous basis, you tend to achieve good quality of results. Dedication is most important as is diligence and discipline. Occasion hard work towards something is a hobby. If you have a passion, you have to keep at it on a regular basis.

I remember reading somewhere this as a kid:

Discipline + Diligence + Dogged Determination = Success !
