(1) FRAUDS: These are unqualified people who fool others by trying to show that they are qualified to do something that they are not.
(2) Now, contrast this to those suffering from "IMPOSTER SYNDROME". These are people who are actually qualified to do their jobs, but feel like fakes, due to insecurity or lack of confidence.
You will find both kinds of people in the business world! Frauds & people suffering from Imposter Syndrome. Now, there is a 3rd type: called as the D-K effect!
(3) DUNNING-KRUGER effect: where incompetent people refuse to believe in their incompetence and believe in some kind of superiority!
This blog documents my MBA student life at Ryerson University, Canada (2010-2012). It was an attempt to demystify the MBA experience, help understand MBA topics & encourage MBA wannabes. I have a Pre-MBA blog about B-School application process (and a few other blogs) as well. I used to blog actively in the past and interact with readers regularly, but life got very busy after my MBA. Good luck. Take care. Cheers! Gerry.
